Coyamito Agate Pseudomorphs are the rare of rare kinds of agates. They are one of the most expensive agate types ever sold. A “pseudomorph” is an Agate that exhibits two or more types of agate formations within one nodule. For example this agate features Coyamito Agate formations along with aragonite plume agate formations.
Laguna and Coyamito Agates are considered some of the rarest and most sought after agates in the world. Each one displays gorgeous banding with a variety of vibrant colors. Often times the agates found are of small size from 0.5-2 inches, however I have acquired some very large specimens! These agates come from the remote mountainous regions of northern Mexico, and are very difficult to mine. Each of the agates that I am offering has been hand freed from extremely hard host rock and hand cut and polished to reveal the magical beauty inside.
