Palo Santo

Palo Santo is a sacred wood from Peru that has been used for hundreds of years by shaman and medicine people. Palo Santo is a powerful cleansing tool when burned and used to smudge. I have used it to help reclaim energies in the darkest of situations. 

My preferred method while smudging with Palo Santo is to light an end and let the flame self extinguish, then fan the smoke through my sacred space. Palo Santo is also great to use when someone is sick and has antibacterial properties. Compared to sage it has a sweeter more robust smell that lasts longer and is not as smokey.
